Berni's Garden is a local venture from Mures, Romania that offers fresh and organic aromatic plants to both home consumers as well as markets and restaurants in the area, with aspirations to grow nationally and even internationally. So after an evaluation of their own brand, they realized that the current image does not reflect their values and true voice. In the end, it turned out to be not just a redesign but a repositioning of the brand for future growth.
The thinking
The inspiration for the logo was Berni (Pall Bernadet) herself, our girl farmer and entrepreneur, whose passion for plants is embodied in her warm and friendly attitude. Berni's Garden also portrays the well-being associated with quality natural foods. The new logotype is friendly and welcoming, using bold typography, rounded letterforms with organic shapes. The vivid color palette of yellows mixed with greens reflects the freshness of chlorophyll and sunlight, both necessary in the photosynthesis process. A set of hand-drawn illustrations that overlaps a naive look with a modern and contemporary style along with bold typography perfectly articulates the visual universe. From business cards, thank you cards, social media, flags, billboards and even packaging, all of them now communicate Berni's Garden values through consistency. Berni's Garden is still a young brand that is part of a much larger food movement that in recent years has focused more on where our food is coming from, offering organic products grown in sustainable conditions.
